Hemophilia Therapy

Our long-standing commitment to provide high quality therapies for people with hemophilia has led to innovations including monoclonal antibody purification and heat treatment processes, introduction of the first recombinant Factor VIII therapy, and most recently, of the first plasma/albumin-free method recombinant Factor VIII therapy.

FEIBA

FEIBA VH [Anti-Inhibitor Coagulant Complex] Vapor Heated is an anti-inhibitor coagulant complex with Factor VIII inhibitor bypassing activity that is indicated for control of spontaneous bleeding episodes or to cover surgical interventions in hemophilia A and hemophilia B patients with inhibitors. Some people with hemophilia develop inhibitors and antibodies created by the immune system after exposure to factor VIII or IX concentrate. Inhibitors neutralize the infused factor and prevent the blood from clotting. FEIBA VH AICC bypasses the need for factor VIII or IX and enables the blood to form clots to stop bleeding. FEIBA VH AICC has a long history of effectively controlling bleeding in hemophilia patients with inhibitors, an established safety profile and a convenient dosing schedule.

RECOMBINATE Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant) (rAHF)

RECOMBINATE Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant) (rAHF) is a genetically engineered Factor VIII protein indicated for prevention and control of bleeding episodes in people with hemophilia A (classical hemophilia). RECOMBINATE rAHF, an infusion therapy that works as a substitute for the missing or non-functioning Factor VIII protein, has been proven highly effective and safe. Unlike plasma-derived Factor VIII, RECOMBINATE rAHF does not rely on human plasma as its starting material.
