Haemodialysis

Haemodialysis works by removing waste products and fluid from the blood by using a machine and a dialyzer, also known as an artificial kidney. The blood is then cleaned and returned back to the body with the help of the dialyzer. HD usually requires 3 treatment sessions per week, about 4 hours per session, at a hospital or HD centre.
